The Poly-goes-UAS programme is run by Germany’s Universities of Applied Sciences (UAS) in partnership with the companies. The companies work closely with the UAS to ensure the curriculum’s relevance to industry, and typically have representatives on the UAS’ board. Depending on their sponsoring company, students in the Poly-goes-UAS programme will study in different courses as required by the company.
Under this programme, students can simultaneously earn a Bacherlor's Degree while gaining work experience in Germany!
The partner universities are:
1. Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) is the first higher education institution in Germany to integrate academic studies with workplace training. Founded on March 1, 2009, DHBW traces its roots back to the Berufsakademie Baden-Wurttemberg. Today the university continues to carry on the highly successful tradition of cooperative education.
2. The Munich University of Applied Sciences was founded in 1971 by the amalgamation of seven colleges of technology and higher education, some of which date back to the early 19th century. Today it is the largest university of its kind in Bavaria and one of the largest in Germany.
The German Mittelstand Champions belong to a group of ~1,500 German companies which are global market leaders in their fields. They are family owned engineering companies with up to €5 billion in revenue. Students will be sponsored by a Mittelstand company throughout the programme.
